Some Celtic fans have slammed a Twitter post involving Kristoffer Ajer that caught their attention recently.
The Celtic Twitter account recently posted about Ajer, asking fans whether they think the defender has been the club’s Player of the Year this season, with the Norwegian announced as one of the nominees for the accolade.
On seeing this post, many Celtic fans were angry. They feel that Ajer doesn’t deserve to be mentioned as one of the contenders for the award.

Ajer has been a regular at the back for Hoops this season. The defender has made 49 appearances in all competitions so far, with 28 of them coming in the Premiership. In the league, the Norwegian has scored three goals with a tally of two assists (via Transfermarkt).
What do we think?
While Ajer has been a regular this season, it doesn’t look as if he is a favourite for the Player of the Year title. The negative comments of the Celtic fans possibly root from speculation about his future, as he’s been linked with a move to Milan by Tuttosport (via MilanNews).
His agent has already told Norwegian TV agency NTB (via Sporten) that he will look to leave the club at the end of the season and isn’t extending his deal with the Hoops. This could be another reason why Celtic fans aren’t happy with Ajer and don’t want him to win the Player of the Year award.
