Some Celtic fans have slammed Gareth McAuley after some of his comments emerged on social media.
McAuley was recently talking to TalkSPORT and he made some comments about Celtic’s Premiership title win. The former defender reiterated what he had initially said in his column for the Belfast Telegraph. While talking to TalkSPORT, McAuley said that the Hoops were ‘handed’ the Premiership title and that he feels ‘sorry’ for the club and the players. He said that there are ifs and buts about the achievement.
When talkSPORT relayed this on Twitter, many Celtic fans flocked to the post. They mocked McAuley for what he had to say.

What do we think?
McAuley’s comments won’t impress Celtic fans at all, considering he is a former Rangers player.
The Hoops were 13 points clear at the top of the table and had not lost a single Premiership game in 2020. They had played the Gers three times in all competitions, winning twice (via Transfermarkt).
This suggests that Neil Lennon’s men were a superior force in the title race and they deserved to win the Premiership.
