Some Celtic fans have been raving at a tweet about Peter Lawwell that emerged on Twitter recently.
Journalist Jim Spence recently posted on Twitter, relaying a tweet from BBC Sport about Lawwell. Spence hailed Lawwell’s contributions to Celtic, saying that while he might not be the choice of every Hoops fan to take the role of the club’s CEO, but the manner in which he leads the club is ‘without peer’ in Scotland.
Many Celtic fans flocked to Spence’s tweet. They agreed with Spence’s perception of Lawwell.
He may just be the greatest signing in the clubs history.

Lawwell has been the club’s chief executive since 2003. He is described as being ‘perfect’ for the modern age and a ‘genuine supporter’ of the Hoops too (via CelticWiki).
What do we think?
Celtic fans clearly have some admiration for Lawwell. Considering how the club has now won nine Premiership titles in a row under his leadership, it says a lot about how good he has been for the Hoops. With that in mind, Celtic fans are right to hail him.
