Some Birmingham City fans have flocked to a tweet that was recently posted by Blues-focused Twitter account @BCFC_News which links to a report from Birmingham Live that shares the alleged news that Bournemouth winger Jordon Ibe “is set to become a free agent” this summer.
This report from Birmingham Live cites Sky Sports as the original source of this alleged news. This comes after Sky Sports recently claimed that Ibe “will leave Bournemouth” on 1st July, even if the 2019/20 campaign has not been completed by then.
Ibe had previously spent some time on loan at St. Andrew’s, joining the Blues from 21 February 2014 until 31 May 2014, as per Transfermarkt. Now that reports have claimed that the 24-year-old is set to become available on a free transfer this summer, some Blues fans have been discussing whether or not they’d like to see him back at St. Andrew’s.

Would take him if his wages weren’t too bad. Could see him going bottom half of the prem or top of the championship to be honest

Pass. Attitude for days. Next.
— Kearney Zzyzwicz (@KZzyzwicz) May 21, 2020
Question his attitude. Also do we really need another massive wage on our books with little return.

What do we think?
Judging by the responses from these Blues fans, it appears as though most Birmingham fans would be open to seeing Ibe make a return to St. Andrew’s, however, some supporters also shared a more negative opinion about the winger.
Given that he has played just 48 minutes of Premier League football during the 2019/20 season, as per WhoScored, there may be an element of risk involved for any club who are considering adding Ibe to their squad for next season.
