A group of Wolverhampton Wanderers supporters have been discussing the former Mexico forward Luis Garcia’s comments regarding their current number nine, Raul Jimenez. Speaking to ESPN (reported via Récord), he and his colleagues don’t believe the 29-year-old belongs in the conversation regarding Europe’s ‘first-rate forwards’.
Wolves signed Jimenez on a permanent deal in July 2019 for a reported fee of £34.2m (via Transfermarkt.co.uk) after he spent the previous season on loan at Molineux. Here is how some of the club’s supporters have responded to the comments regarding their player.
He will play for a top team. That team is Wolves.

Do you feel Luis Garcia's comments were unfair?
Yes
No
A top 6/7 club (in only it’s second season in the top flight) where he us adored and is the first choice centre forward.
Why would he want to warm the bench elsewhere?

Rude.

@hasnaoui_zak what’s he on about ?

What do we think?
It’s clear these Wolves fans disagree with Garcia’s comments with many questioning who he is, suggesting he is not qualified to criticise their frontman. Jimenez has made 29 appearances in the Premier League so far this season, scoring 13 goals and providing six assists (via Transfermarkt.co.uk). According to WhoScored.com, his average performance rating in the league this year currently stands at an impressive 7.29/10, making him the club’s second-most consistent performer so far, only behind Adama Traore. Therefore, you can see where these Wolves fans are coming from.
