Fans of Wolverhampton Wanderers have been flocking to a Twitter post from the club’s Irish full-back Matt Doherty.
On Monday evening, the Old Gold ran a Twitter commentary of a game from December 2019 in which Manchester City were defeated 3-2 (per Wolves).
In the game, Wolves’ Irish defender scored the winning goal (per Wolves) and following the club’s tweet about it, the player himself quote tweeted it, which led to lots of responses from Wolves fans (per Matt Doherty).

The 28-year-old defender has been a Wolves player since 2010, having arrived at Molineux from Bohemians for a fee of £81,000 (per Transfermarkt).
Doherty now has a market value of £14.4 million (per Transfermarkt) and fans made their admiration of the player no secret following his Twitter post.
