Supporters of West Ham United have been reacting to speculation over whether or not a takeover of the club is a possibility.
According to @ExWHUemployee, there is too much uncertainty at the moment for any business to be done. However, there was interest from the Middle East earlier in the year (via @WHUFCFZ). Many West Ham fans started talking about this.
I have said repeatedly on podcast any rumour right now is exactly that because with the season outcome not concluded it affects too much for any business to happen. There was Middle Eastern discussions early on in yr (which I reported) but nothing of any note recently. ?

The tweet from @ExWHUemployee came after Twitter account @indykalia tweeted that a source ‘very close to’ David Gold had revealed that ‘mystery Middle East investors’ had been in contact with the club regarding a full takeover.
However, despite the tweet from @ExWHUemployee seeming to pour cold water on any takeover rumours, fans continued airing their reactions (via @WHUFCFZ).

What do we think?
As can be seen in these responses from West Ham supporters, they are keen for a takeover of the club to happen regardless of whether they believe the rumour or not.
However, with Gold himself supposedly having stated that an @indykalia rumour was “fabricated and entirely untrue” just last month (per Claret and Hugh), it may be better to take any reports with a pinch of salt.
