West Ham-focused Twitter account @COYIrons_com recently caught the attention of many Irons supporters after they posted a tweet which shared a clip from an interview that ex-Hammers player Ravel Morrison recently conducted with TalkSPORT.

In this clip, Morrison states that there would be “a lot of things (he) would change” if he could go back through his life to do so. The 27-year-old goes on to discuss some of the mistakes that he has made over the years, before declaring that he feels that he has still not “shown (his) best ability” on the pitch in his professional career.

According to The Telegraph, when making his move to West Ham United, Sir Alex Ferguson was full of praise for Morrison’s ability when speaking with then Hammers boss Sam Allardyce. Ferguson also reportedly told Allardyce that Morrison needed to “get away from Manchester and start a new life”, according to this article.

However, the player went on to make just 24 appearances for the Hammers from when he first joined the club in January 2012 until he officially left the club in February 2015, as per Transfermarkt.co.uk.

A lot of West Ham fans have flocked to @COYIrons_com’s recent post sharing this Morrison interview, with some sharing how impressed they were by the player’s ability in his younger days, while other West Ham fans even took this opportunity to share that they would like to see Morrison receive another chance at their club.

What do we think?

Wayne Rooney recently declared that Morrison was better than Paul Pogba during his time in Manchester United’s youth academy. With that in mind, it may be understandable why some may feel that Morrison wasted his talent.
