Supporters of West Ham United have been discussing Sead Haksabanovic after a report on the 21-year-old Montenegrin emerged.
According to IFK Norrköping chairman Peter Hunt, who shared some comments with NT in Sweden which were relayed by Fotboll Direkt, the chances of the wide midfielder staying with his loan club are “not so great” (via Sport Witness).
The report went on to state that West Ham want ‘at least €1m’ (£894k) to sell the player, which had fans discussing Haksabanovic on Twitter (via @WHUFCFZ).
I think Sead Haksabanovic is a decent player. He's impressed me when I've seen him play, most recently against England at Wembley a few months back.
I would like to see him stick around and be given a proper chance to succeed. He hasn't had a fair crack just yet. pic.twitter.com/sGg1UytGld

Yeah I agree especially in the current climate. I’d rather spend whatever money we will have on two/three top players (defence/forward) and use the youngsters.

Yeah I agree if Moyes is left to sort out his own team & the players he wants to use & get the balance of the team right then I cant see why the lad cant be given a chance to see plus hes young & not injury prone thats what I want to see

I would love to see him get a chance but unfortunately he will be in the bottom of the the pecking order in his position

Agree Zone & Rob have said before I wanted to see him back in Jan had very good season in Sweden which finished & would def add pace! Not sure if make the jump but Eliasson done well for Bristol similar positions stats etc but Sead’s younger. So worth giving a go

Should Sead Haksabanovic be given a chance in the first team by David Moyes? No, not good enoughYes, would do a job |
The 21-year-old wide midfielder has been with the Irons since the club forked out £2.7 million to secure his services from Halmstads BK in the summer of 2017 (per Transfermarkt).
However, when it was then alleged (as per Fotboll Direkt) that the Hammers had rejected a bid of around £5m (via @WHUFCFZ), while some fans were keen for the player to get a chance, others were not so sure.
Surely not? Thought wed take something like that for him

Very surprised West Ham have rejected a £5m offer for Sead Haksabanovic, if true, given that they tend to let youth players leave for much less when they have decided they aren’t up to PL level; especially as it is almost double what they paid for him.

What do we think?
As can be seen in these responses from West Ham fans, many believe that the Montenegrin deserves a chance in the first team, however, some worry that he may not have the quality.
After nine goals and eight assists in 36 appearances during his stay with his current loan club (per Transfermarkt), though, it seems the 21-year-old may have decent potential.
