Would you be happy if West Ham signed Hector Herrera from Atletico Madrid? No, he's too old for usYes, would add depth |
The report also stated that while the Mexican remained in Madrid in January to ‘see how his first-team opportunities developed’, the Hammers remain interested in Herrera.
However, when the report was shared to social media (via @whufc_news & @westhamtransfers), fans did not seem so keen on the possible signing.

What do we think?
As can be seen in the responses from West Ham supporters, they are not keen on the idea of signing the 30-year-old middleman, with many touting his age to be the reason.
However, perhaps West Ham fans should not be so quick to dismiss Herrera, as a 6.85/10 average rating over 14 La Liga appearances this season (per WhoScored) would suggest that the 30-year-old certainly has talent.
