Supporters of West Ham United have been slating Marko Arnautovic after some of the Austrian’s comments emerged on Twitter.
In an interview with Austrian outlet LAOLA 1, as cited by Hammers News, the Irons’ former striker stated he has a “kind of love-hate relationship with West Ham fans” and that he is “immune” to being labelled a “snake” (via @whufc_news), which riled up supporters.
Arnautovic: “I have a kind of love-hate relationship with West Ham fans. I was at the top of the fan list, they really loved me. My exit was a bit more difficult, and I was also called ‘Snake’. Anyone who has followed my career knows that I am immune to something like this.” pic.twitter.com/hURNSPFeX6

Would you ever take Marko Arnautovic back at the London Stadium? No, he burned his bridgesYes, he was quality for us |
The 31-year-old frontman, who is now valued at £14.4 million (as per Transfermarkt), spent two seasons with the Hammers after signing from Stoke City (per Transfermarkt) and bagged an impressive 22 goals and 12 assists in 65 appearances for the club (per Transfermarkt).
However, after forcing his way out of the club to transfer to China (per The Telegraph) it appears that he has burned his bridges with the London Stadium faithful.
It’s just a hate relationship at this point fella

What do we think?
As can be seen in the responses from these West Ham supporters, they are clearly frustrated with their former player and it appears that the love part of the “love-hate relationship” that Arnautovic touted appears to be lacking.
However, due to the way which the Austrian ultimately forced his way out of the club (per The Telegraph), the responses of these supporters come as no surprise.
