Fans of West Ham United have been reacting to an update which has relayed some injury news on the Hammers’ first-team squad.
According to @ExWHUemployee, as cited by @WHUFCFZ, both Angelo Ogbonna and Aaron Cresswell are unable to train at the moment due to injury.
In their podcast, @ExWHUemployee also revealed that Michail Antonio is on compassionate leave, so, he is also not currently training either.
Despite the suggestion that the two defenders were not training due to injury, neither of the players have been reported as injured by the club (per West Ham).
According to Transfermarkt, the club has a clean bill of health bar Jack Wilshere, however, the Daily Mail has already revealed that the English midfielder will be ready to return to action when the Premier League makes a comeback.
On Thursday, the Hammers revealed that the anticipated return of the Premier League has been provisionally set for 17th June by the league’s shareholders (per West Ham).
The return of England’s top flight will see Premier League players return to action for the first time since March; when football in the UK was suspended due to the current viral outbreak (per BBC).
So, with the injury update relayed to West Ham supporters on Twitter (via @WHUFCFZ), fans aired their fury that first-team players were injured despite the long break in play.
At the moment, Angelo Ogbonna and Aaron Cresswell are currently unable to train due to injury.

Are you frustrated that West Ham have injuries in the squad despite the long break?Yes, it's ridiculousNo, just one of them things |
David Moyes and his side currently find themselves sitting 16th in the Premier League table, out of the relegation zone on goal difference alone, with nine matches left to play (per BBC).
So, it seems likely that they will need every key player available once play resumes.
We have injuries when there’s no football haha unreal

While the majority of fans were livid with the injury update, one supporter was a little more understanding of the situation.
Finally a bit of common sense rather than meltdown from C&H.

Despite one supporter taking a more sympathetic view, it was clear to see that the majority of the London Stadium faithful were furious that Ogbonna and Cresswell were currently injured.
