Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have been talking about comments that former Arsenal and Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas has made about Jose Mourinho.
Fabregas was recently talking to Rio Ferdinand and was asked about the impact of Mourinho on his playing career. The Spaniard said that on their first meeting, Mourinho had told him about his need for two players. The first was going to be Diego Costa and the second was going to be the midfielder himself.
Fabregas revealed that the Portuguese manager drew his desired Chelsea team on a piece of paper – and that team went on to win the Premier League title.
These comments from Fabregas were relayed by Hotspur Related on Twitter. Many Spurs fans rushed to the tweet and made their displeasure for Fabregas clear.

Can’t believe Jose is our manager and Fabregas’ opinion is even making it into our socials tbh. Both not spurs at all.

Mourinho was appointed as Spurs boss back in November 2019 following the sacking of Mauricio Pochettino. Before arriving at Spurs, Mourinho had managed Manchester United and Spurs’ London rivals Chelsea. At Stamford Bridge, the Portuguese won the Premier League title with Fabregas in his team in the 2014/15 season.
Considering Fabregas’ links with both Chelsea and Arsenal, it is easy to see why Spurs fans don’t like him. But some other Spurs fans also took this as a chance to talk about the missing elements in the current team.
Won’t get a penny out of Levy so we win nothing.

How many gaps in our team at the moment though for him to be confident. You could argue 5 maybe 6?

These two Spurs fans seem more concerned about whether their club will allow Mourinho to make the signings he needs, just as he was able to at Chelsea. But they can only hope that Daniel Levy helps the 57-year-old out to take Spurs closer to where they want to be.
