Spurs fans on Twitter have been reacting to some of Tanguy Ndombele’s best moments in his first season at the North London club.
The Spurs Web shared some footage of the Frenchman after it was originally shared by Twitter user @Hugo_Prods, showing a compilation of the 23-year-old’s best passes, dribbles, and goals from his first season in the Premier League. Spurs signed the midfielder from Lyon in a club-record deal last summer, but his debut season hasn’t really gone to plan, with fitness issues proving to be a problem throughout the campaign.
The French international has managed to complete 90 minutes just three times in the top flight this season, with Jose Mourinho slating his performance in Spurs’ most recent Premier League game before the current suspension – a 1-1 draw against Burnley.
Will Ndombele be a key player for Spurs next season?

We’re trying. Fitness is obtainable through effort and hard work. No doubt he’s extremely talented but 90 minutes are the match length. Flashes of brilliance that can take him to elite status. Jose has developed many stars, hopefully another.

This guy has the potential to destroy the premier league. Yes he has had a ‘lazy’ start but if we can nurture him to his full potential, he can easily become a game winner

The Biggest mistake ever if we sell him, he will go somewhere like barca and become the next Yaya Toure.

The lad is unbelievable! We have a genuine dembele replacement here and there are actually people who refuse to rate him because he struggled with fitness in his first season in EPL, little preseason and injuries. And we actually rate lamel we don’t deserve success!

Didn’t have to watch the video to like it. What a baller

These Spurs fans clearly enjoyed the footage of Ndombele and clearly still believe in his ability.
What do we think?
Ndombele has struggled in his first season in the Premier League – averaging a 6.76 match rating for his performances in the top flight (as per WhoScored) – but perhaps we will see a lot more from him next season if he improves over time.
