Spurs fans on Twitter have been reacting to the latest news on Heung-Min Son following the completion of his military service in South Korea.
The Spurs Web shared some images of the 27-year-old winger, whilst confirming that he has now completed his mandatory military service and has also been recognised as one of the top performers amongst 157 trainees. The winger will now return to London but will once again be forced to quarantine for two weeks, as per the government guidelines, which could prevent the former Bayer Leverkusen man from returning to training ahead of a potential restart of the Premier League (per Sky Sports).
So far this season, the South Korean international has averaged an impressive 7.28 rating for his performances in the Premier League; having contributed nine goals and seven assists in 21 appearances (per WhoScored) which is something he will no doubt want to improve on further when top-flight football does resume.
Will Son be a big player for Spurs when the season resumes?

My boy is finally coming home!! I think he’s a little skinny. The uniform looks great on him, but the Spurs kit looks the best on him! Good work, Sonny! Thank you for not being injured. #COYS

These Spurs fans are clearly delighted with the update on Son and will no doubt be excited to see him back playing as soon as it is safe to do so.
What do we think?
It is good to see that Son has made it through his military service unharmed and performed well enough to be recognised for his efforts. Hopefully for Spurs fans, the South Korean will be able to perform similarly well under Jose Mourinho when football resumes.
