Spurs fans on Twitter have been reacting to an update on the future of Luis Campos, which suggests that the Sporting Director has turned down an approach from Newcastle United.
According to French news outlet L’Equipe (via Foot Mercato), the 55-year-old has rejected an approach from the North East club. The report also suggests that he could join Spurs and link up with Jose Mourinho, although AS Monaco are also interested in re-appointing the Portuguese director.
It was suggested earlier this week that Campos is ready to quit Lille this summer and take on a new challenge and considering his personal relationship with Mourinho, the rumours of him joining Spurs have been rife.
