Spurs fans on Twitter have been discussing Erik Lamela and his time with the North London club.
A Spursy Podcast prompted a discussion on the Argentinian international on Twitter by asking for the thoughts of fans, something which has attracted the attention of plenty of Lilywhites supporters. Spurs signed the winger from Roma in 2013 and in nearly seven years at the club, he has gone on to make 214 appearances, contributing 33 goals and 47 assists (per Transfermarkt).
The 28-year-old has regularly struggled with injury problems throughout his time in the Premier League and missed 12 games earlier in the season due to a hamstring injury. With Spurs having signed fellow winger Steven Bergwijn in the January transfer window, perhaps that has opened the door for Spurs to cash in on the £14.4 million-rated man this summer.
Should Spurs sell Lamela this summer?
Yes

A waste of DnA.
Leader of the dreadful 7 with sissoko as his 2nd in command. This man claims to be a professional footballer @Mattallwright from rougue traders should get him. Is our only hope

One of the worst players I have ever seen.
What is the point of him ?
How he has lasted 7 seasons is beyond comprehension.
Dreadful player.— Chris Ion (@chrision1955) May 16, 2020
He can’t complete 90 mins let alone a full season

Nope…..a headless chicken who scores a goal now & then……

A player with skill but never fulfilled his potential talent. Frustrating at times, brilliant at time, injured too many times. Plays with his heart on his sleeve and can never be accused of not giving 100% to the team on the pitch.
I think his days are numbered now under Jose

1. Not with us or PL
2. Potential but will probably never fulfil it
3. Adebayor syndrome, somehow we see him when his contract is up and plays really well.— Marlon THFC (@_MM_17) May 17, 2020
These Spurs fans clearly don’t seem to rate Lamela too highly.
What do we think?
Mourinho has spoken highly of Lamela’s attitude during his time as manager of the North London club, so it would perhaps be a surprise to see him leave the club this summer, despite these fans not rating him.
