Fans of Tottenham have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which discusses former Spurs midfielder Etienne Capoue.
The tweet, which was posted by A Spursy Podcast, stated: “For me, personally, we let him go too soon. There is a player in there and when he plays for Watford I like what I see. Would do a job in our current midfield. Thoughts?”
In reaction to the post, fans of the club have flocked to have their say on the matter, with many suggesting that Capoue is a top player, but that former Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino didn’t rate the midfielder, while others have suggested that the 31-year-old would do a good job in the current Spurs side.
Did you rate Capoue in his time at Spurs?

Better than our current options. Not as god as dembele & wanyama, that is why he was let go. Decent enough and does a good job for Watford,

Completely agree. There is a top player in there but porch didn’t like him. He would have worked so well with dembele

I like the kind of midfielder he is, although at Watford, Doucoure makes him look better than he is. Wouldn’t help us at all imo, Doucoure on the other hand…

He’s decent but not spectacular.
You are right though, he would walk into our midfield— Harry C (@HazSpur92) May 13, 2020
100% let him go too early.

What do we think?
During his time with Spurs, Capoue made 36 appearances for the club, scoring two goals and providing two assists, before being sold to Watford in 2015.
It would appear that opinion is split amongst the Spurs fans on the midfielder, with some believing that he was sold too soon, while others have stated that his poor attitude was the reason for him departing the club.
