Spurs fans on Twitter have been reacting to the news that the stadium has received an award at the mondo*dr awards 2020, which recognises the world’s best installation projects.
The club shared the news with fans on Twitter, reporting that the club had seen off competition from stadiums such as Lancashire Cricket Club’s Old Trafford and Bayern Munich’s Allianz Arena to win the award. Spurs officially moved into the £1 billion stadium in April of last year and this award now marks the 13th industry award that it has picked up, within just over a year of being open.
After the news was shared with Lilywhites supporters on Twitter, many were quick to share their thoughts on the latest award.
Do you care that the stadium is winning awards?

That’s great but I’d prefer a trophy if I’m honest.

This is the beginning, give us 6-7 years building from now and we will be a force.

Get in there more silverware

Some of these Spurs fans were perhaps a little sarcastic in their responses, but most seem happy that the stadium is getting a lot of recognition.
What do we think?
Spurs fans would perhaps prefer to see the club winning trophies rather than the stadium winning awards, as their last trophy came in the form of their League Cup win in 2008.
