Spurs fans on Twitter have been reacting positively to quotes from Moussa Sissoko about his recovery from injury.
LastWordOnSpurs shared some past quotes from the former Newcastle man, who was aiming to return to fitness around the time top-flight football in England was suspended. The Frenchman looked set to miss a significant period of the season when he was required to have surgery on a knee injury back in January, however, the suspension of the Premier League has meant that he could still have an impact on Spurs’ remaining fixtures, should the season restart.
Back in March, the 30-year-old midfielder revealed: “I am fine, my knee is okay. I have been training with the team for nearly two weeks now and everything is okay. I am trying to build up my fitness and trying to be ready for when we are allowed to play again.”

These Spurs fans clearly appreciated the reminder on Sissoko’s fitness and will no doubt be looking forward to seeing him return to action.
What do we think?
Despite Sissoko struggling at times so far this season, averaging a 6.68 rating for his performances in the Premier League (via WhoScored), it still seems as if the majority of Spurs fans are excited to see the £18 million-rated man back in the first team.
