Spurs fans on Twitter have been reacting to some quotes from on-loan Newcastle United man Danny Rose, after he suggested that Spurs were considering a move for current Manchester United centre-back Harry Maguire back in 2016.
The 29-year-old suggested on the Lockdown Tactics podcast that Mauricio Pochettino had expressed an interest in the England international back in 2016, saying: “We played [Hull] at White Hart Lane [in December 2016] and we won two or three-nil. Straight away, our gaffer was all over Harry. I think they were in for him.”
Maguire would join Leicester City from Hull City in 2017 and spent two years with the Foxes before joining Manchester United for £80m last summer in what was a world-record transfer fee for a defender.
Do you wish Spurs had signed Harry Maguire?

Most of these Spurs fans seem frustrated that the club weren’t able to bring in Maguire.
What do we think?
Maguire has enjoyed a strong first season with Manchester United, averaging a 7.12 rating for his performances in the Premier League, so you could certainly argue Spurs made a mistake by not signing the 27-year-old while he was with the Tigers.
