Spurs fans on Twitter have been reacting to the news that Heung-Min Son’s goal against Burnley earned Match of the Day’s Premier League ‘Goal of the Season’ award.
Last Word On Spurs shared the news with Lilywhites supporters on Twitter, including a video of the impressive goal, after it was announced by the BBC Match of the Day Twitter page that it had been voted as the best goal of the season.
During the 5-0 win against Sean Dyche’s side earlier in the season, the former Bayer Leverkusen man picked up the ball just outside of Spurs’ penalty area, before embarking on an incredible run that saw him fly past the majority of Burnley’s side, before dispatching past Nick Pope to crown a memorable effort, as can be seen in the footage.
With the season currently suspended, Match of the Day clearly felt the time was right to hand out some awards and Son’s goal may be a worthy winner of the Goal of the Season accolade. However, a couple of fans presumed that the season was void in light of the award being gifted to Son.
Did Son's goal deserve to win goal of the season?

These Spurs fans clearly loved Son’s goal and seem unanimous that it deserved to win the goal of the season award.
What do we think?
It was a fantastic goal from Son and surely a highlight for a lot of Spurs fans in what overall has been a poor season for the North London club, both domestically and in Europe.
