Spurs fans on Twitter have been reacting to some footage of Gedson Fernandes doing a Q&A session with fans of the North London club.

The Portuguese midfielder, who joined on an 18-month loan deal from Benfica in January, took part in a Q&A session with the club’s official Twitter page. One fan asked the 21-year-old what his favourite thing about his time at Spurs has been so far, to which he replied: “Everything!”

How well do you remember Heung-Min Son's time with Spurs? - The Lilywhites signed Son from which Bundesliga side?

Although he has struggled to make much of an impression on the first-team during his time with the Lilywhites thus far, making just two starts in all competitions and averaging a disappointing 6.21 for his appearances in the Premier League (per WhoScored), it still seems as if he is enjoying his time with the North London club.

Would you like to see Spurs sign Fernandes permanently?

Reaction from Spurs fans to the footage of Fernandes can be seen in the tweets below.

Despite the loanee’s defining contribution so far in a Spurs shirt perhaps being his woeful penalty (3:37 in the video) against Norwich City in the FA Cup defeat back in March, fans continuing sharing their support for the Portuguese midfielder’s comments.

Other Spurs fans suggested that his comments could allude to him wanting to make his loan stay with the Lilywhites a permanent one. The Portuguese international is currently valued at £12.15 million by Transfermarkt and the North London club have an option to make his deal a permanent one, should he sufficiently impress Mourinho with his performances.

Overall, it seems as if these Spurs fans enjoyed the comments from Fernandes and will no doubt be looking forward to seeing him back on the pitch.

Now that Mourinho has a fully fit squad available to him, it will be interesting to see if the 21-year-old can force his way into the 57-year-old’s first-team plans. Even if he isn’t selected often in the remaining fixtures in the Premier League, you would imagine that following a full pre-season with Mourinho, Spurs fans will see plenty of the youngster next season.
