Spurs fans on Twitter have been reacting to some quotes from Christian Eriksen after they re-emerged.
Talking THFC shared some of the Danish international’s quotes from his interview with Sky Italy, where he discussed his move to Inter in the January transfer window. In the interview, when asked about his move away from the Lilywhites, he said (per Sky Sport via Gianluca Di Marzio):
“It seemed like the right thing to do. There were many teams interested that wanted to get me and it’s important to know a club wants you. I have better chances of winning here than at Spurs.”
During his time with the North London club, the creative midfielder featured 305 times, contributing 69 goals and 89 assists (per Transfermarkt). However, he failed to win a trophy at the club, something that was clearly a factor in his move to Inter earlier this year.

These Spurs fans clearly aren’t too happy with the quotes from Eriksen.
What do we think?
Eriksen, who is valued at £61.2 million (as per Transfermarkt), has clearly frustrated some of these Spurs fans with his quotes but when you consider that the North London club’s last trophy came in 2008, it is perhaps easy to understand why the 28-year-old left.
