Spurs fans have flocked to a club post featuring some footage of Gedson Fernandes’ skill against Southampton from earlier in the season.
The club shared the footage on their official Twitter page, showing off the on-loan Benfica man’s ‘flick’ from the 3-2 FA Cup win against the Saints in February. Spurs signed the 21-year-old on loan during the January transfer window and he has gone on to make just four substitute appearances in the Premier League, averaging a disappointing 6.21 rating (per Whoscored).
However, now that the club have shared the Portuguese midfielder’s sublime skill against Southampton on Twitter, fans have been airing their opinions on the loanee.

These Spurs fans clearly appreciated the footage of Fernandes and will be hoping to see a lot more of the young midfielder when the season resumes.
What do we think?
Fernandes has not been given much chance to impress so far in a Spurs shirt, but with the youngster on loan until the end of next season, perhaps we will see a lot more of him next year.
