Spurs fans on Twitter have been discussing the latest report on Bournemouth winger Ryan Fraser, which suggests that the Scottish international has his sights set on signing for the Lilywhites, despite previous interest from Arsenal.
According to the Daily Mirror (via Daily Hotspur), Spurs are now ready to make an offer for the 26-year-old after emerging as serious candidates to sign the winger ahead of next season. The Scotsman’s contract with the Cherries is set to expire on June 30, meaning that Jose Mourinho could bring him in on a free transfer this summer.
So far this season, the winger has disappointed in his performances in the Premier League, averaging a 6.57 rating across his 28 appearances in the top flight (per WhoScored). However, the winger showed last season that when on form he can be a real creative force, as he contributed seven goals and 14 assists for Eddie Howe’s side in the Premier League (per WhoScored).
Who would you rather have in the Spurs squad?
Reaction from Spurs fans to the latest report on Fraser can be seen in the tweets below.
On a free transfer, I’d definitely be willing to consider it. We lack squad depth. For the right wage, he could be a nice role player.

It will definitely be an awesome signing for some. He’s one of the key players at @afcbournemouth and has an amazing work ethic.

Definitely an upgrade on lamela, and younger and make money on selling one and getting the other in for free.

These Spurs fans certainly seem to agree that Fraser would be a good signing for the North London club this summer.
What do we think?
Although Fraser has struggled at times this season, he could provide some squad depth in Mourinho’s side and as some fans suggest, he could prove to be a good replacement for Erik Lamela, which could allow the Lilywhites to cash in on the injury-prone Argentinian this summer.
