Spurs fans on Twitter have been reacting positively to some footage of Tanguy Ndombele in training at Hotspur Way.

The Spurs Web shared some footage of the Frenchman that was created by Spurs’ own media channel (and shared by fan @thfcrueben), which has attracted the attention of plenty of Lilywhites supporters on Twitter.

It was confirmed earlier this week that the Premier League will return in June, with Spurs’ first game set to be against Jose Mourinho’s former side, Manchester United.

Ndombele has regularly struggled with fitness and injury issues during his first season in the Premier League, having joined for a club-record fee last summer, so it is no surprise that footage of the former Lyon man hard at work in training has delighted a lot of fans.

Reaction from Spurs fans to the footage of Ndombele can be seen in the tweets below.

During the current lockdown, Mourinho met up with Ndombele for a one-on-one training session to try and improve the midfielder’s fitness, and although it broke social distancing rules, it looks to have had the desired effect.

The young midfielder has struggled to make much of an impact in the Premier League so far this season, averaging a disappointing 6.76 rating for his performances in the top flight (per WhoScored). This fan comments on his fitness struggles, which is perhaps unsurprising considering he has completed 90 minutes just three times in the top flight so far this season.

One fan looks to have lost faith in the French international, however, suggesting that he doesn’t have much chance of impressing in the upcoming fixture against Manchester United.

Overall, it seems as if the majority of fans enjoyed the footage of Ndombele working hard in training and will be hoping that the former Lyon man can improve on his performances in the Premier League when it resumes next month.

The midfielder has already shown in his performances in the Champions League, where he averaged a more impressive 7.34 rating, that he can be a top player on his day, and he perhaps just needs to produce those sorts of displays more consistently.
