A group of Tottenham Hotspur supporters have been reacting to a recent Twitter post from Ryan Sessegnon. The 20-year-old shared an image of himself back in training for the Lilywhites as Premier League clubs step up their preparations ahead of the proposed resumption of the competition next month.
Sessegnon arrived in North London last summer from Fulham in a deal reportedly worth £24.3m (via Transfermarkt.co.uk). Since signing for the club, he has made 12 appearances, playing a total of 772 minutes, scoring one goal and providing one assist.
Although the sample size is small – just six Premier League appearances to be exact – the England Under-21 international has a somewhat underwhelming average performance rating of 6.32/10 (via WhoScored.com). Given that based on the above, it could be argued that he is yet to live up to the transfer fee Spurs paid for him, how did these Tottenham fans respond to his post?
Really hope we get to see more of him…

What do we think?
Whilst most of the responses were positive, there were a couple of supporters who challenged the left-sided player to prove those who doubt him wrong. Sessegnon was out between June and October last year with a hamstring injury (via Transfermarkt.co.uk) and that may have stalled his progress at Spurs – so perhaps a run of fitness and games will see him produce his best for the club.
