A lot of Newcastle United fans have replied to a tweet from Mark Douglas, which talks about Toon fans ‘parroting lines/tweets/information sowed by Saudi bots‘.
He then claims that this proposed takeover ‘has taken us to some really strange places‘.
Douglas does not name any of the accounts that he thinks might be bots but does believe that it is only accounts promoting the takeover that have gained any traction, and the negative ones have not.
This has drawn a reaction from these Toon fans who just seem bored of the whole thing now.
What do you think of these Saudi bots?
Dodgy. I don't believe them
They provide good information
Disconcerting to see so many #nufc fans parroting lines / Tweets / information sowed by Saudi bots. And then interacting with them too.
This #nufctakeover has taken us to some really strange places already…

I’m borderline exhausted with this and it hasn’t even happened. Blame being placed at the feet of fans, Saudi propaganda bots, claims it shouldn’t be allowed to happen from all angles. You’d think it had been confirmed & this was the aftermath. If it happens it’ll only get worse.

It’s just getting abit boring and samey now. I’d rather just hear something rather than news every day about ‘growing concerns’

I just can’t wait till this whole process is over and everything dies down, one way or the other !!!

I just wish it was as originally stated it would be:
“One day we wake up…and it’s done”
This stuff is exhausting.

Really sad to see

It’s going to continue to get even more weird the longer the “official silence” goes on. Even a watered down holding statement from the club would calm people a bit. Another prime example of the disdain Ashley has for the fans #NUFC

What do we think?
The proposed takeover by Amanda Staveley’s Saudi-backed consortium is currently with the Premier League going through the required checks after a deposit was paid to Mike Ashley.
However, there have been numerous challenges raised by the likes of BeIN Sports and Amnesty International.
It seems that this new claim of Saudi bots is just another thing to add to the list of problems attached to this takeover.
However, judging by the replies, many Newcastle fans are losing patience and just want answers on the takeover.
