The Saudi-led consortium who are set to buy Newcastle United want to sign Al-Nassr striker Abderrazak Hamdallah – that’s according to Foot Mercato. Although there has been no word from the Premier League yet regarding the completion of the takeover, it’s been reported that we can expect an announcement next week (via the Daily Star).
Hamdallah is 29-years-old and the Moroccan has scored an impressive 18 goals in 19 appearances this season for his current employers (via Transfermarkt.co.uk). The report claims that the forward has got an €18m (£15.7m) release clause and that Aston Villa are also interested in bringing the player to the Premier League.
Newcastle United, under Mike Ashley, spent a reported £39.6m to bring Joelinton to the club from Hoffenheim last summer but thus far he has failed to live up to the huge price tag, scoring just once in 29 Premier League appearances.
Here is how some of the St. James’ Park faithful have responded to the reports claiming that they’re already looking at strengthening in that position.
Is there anyone they don’t wanna sign?

What do we think?
His goal record since joining Al-Nassr is highly impressive, however, that doesn’t necessarily mean Hamdallah will prove to be a success in the Premier League, should the Magpies sign him. Based on the above responses, whilst some Newcastle United fans have been keen to highlight his statistics, others are reluctant to take any of the recent transfer rumours seriously given the takeover is yet to be completed.
