Newcastle United fans on Twitter have been responding to the latest reported update surrounding the club’s potential takeover.
This comes after Newcastle news Twitter page @NUFC360 shared a post on their page relaying news originally published in an article from The Telegraph.
The article revealed that the only potential hurdle to the takeover is the complaint from beIN Sports, however, no red flags have been raised until this point.
The article also added that the buyers wanted the deal wrapped up by May 1st, but it may now take a few more days to complete.
This post then gathered a lot of replies from Newcastle fans who were quick to share their reactions to this update.

Before anyone starts flapping, this is the key quote to take from this article – “Premier League sources still suggest beIN’s complaint will not ultimately prevent the takeover…”

Imagine the chants of the fans against Bein the first NUFC game they broadcast if they do block the sale.

Are you starting to get impatient over this potential takeover?
Yes
No
It is now more than three weeks since the paperwork was submitted to the Premier League by Amanda Staveley and her Saudi-backed consortium which triggered the start of the organisation’s directors and owners test (per The Telegraph). Now that this update has been revealed on the takeover’s potential hurdle, this sparked a big reaction on Twitter.
Thats ruined my plans for Friday, time to wait another week great…

unbelieveable, we were told “nothing to worry about”. “piracy is not an issue with these tests”. Now it suddenly is.

This is starting to feel of “oh here we go again” need to remain positive though. Late last night, lots of positives, today mostly negatives. The joys of being a NUFC fan.

What do we think?
It seems as though these Newcastle fans are starting to get impatient with the whole situation. Their hope now will be that the takeover can be completed and announced officially as soon as possible.
