A lot of Newcastle United fans have flocked to a post from NUFC 360, which has relayed comments about the proposed takeover made in the Daily Star.
The report shares news which originally surfaced on the House of Saud site, which claims that the deal was meant to be announced last Monday but was delayed because of the Premier League’s checks.
They also believe that the deal for Mike Ashley to sell the club will be announced next week.
However, these Toon fans are not sure about this.
What do you make of this report?
Load of rubbish
Positive news
Mike Ashley will hand over the keys to PIF, PCP and Reuben Brothers next week with the PL set to approve the deal.
It will transform #nufc into one of the world's richest clubs and end one of the most contentious ownerships of a football club in the modern era. [Daily Star]

When you get solid news the deal is done and the Premier League has approved it then can you post but until then, this is getting boring.

What do we think?
The Daily Star claim that the House of Saud is ‘close’ to the Saudi Arabian royal family, but some Toon fans have expressed doubts about that.
Mark Douglas even said that it was a ‘minefield knowing which sources in Saudi [Arabia] are to be believed.’
Therefore, we are not sure what to say about this; it seems positive but considering that there have been some doubts over the reliability of the House of Saud website, we might just have to wait and see what happens.
