A lot of Newcastle United fans have replied to a post from NUFC 360, which discusses Matty Longstaff’s contract situation.
They claim that talk of the 20-year-old’s contract has been lost with all of the takeover discussion dominating the headlines, and they reminded fans that his deal runs out in a matter of weeks.
This has drawn the attention of these Toon fans who are disappointed his contract has been forgotten about.
The lads already on his way. Shame really.

Unbelievable

According to Transfermarkt, the 20-year-old’s deal with the Toon expires at the end of June, and there are several clubs, including Borussia Dortmund, that are interested in the younger brother of Sean.
Do you want Longstaff to sign a new deal?
Yes, the lad has talent
No, let him go
However, it seems that some Newcastle fans don’t see the hype and are not that bothered if he leaves.
Must be one of the only people think waste of time if takeover goes through other then for sentimental value. He is a bang average

Everything within their means? Eh? Am I missing something? What’s he done to deserve that sentence? Apart from a goal or 2? Lol very bizarre

Will he even be in the team in a thew years though if this takeover goes through? He’s a decent player but with the investment on new players he might not get a game

So far this season, Longstaff has made 12 appearances in all competitions for Newcastle’s senior side and scored three goals, including the winner against Manchester United on his debut.
This situation has been rumbling on for a while, but according to The Athletic, there has been no progress in negotiations.
It seems that these Newcastle fans feel that the ongoing takeover has also resulted in talks over a new deal ending.
The trouble is, due to the takeover, I don’t think the current ownership can do anything contract related. We’ll just have to hope all this gets resolved soon, one way or the other.

Nowt going to happen until the takeover sorted ,

Newcastle do not have long to sort out the 20-year-old’s deal – so it will be intriguing to see what they decide to do.
