A lot of Newcastle United fans have replied to a tweet from NUFC 360, which has two screenshots of articles produced by Richard Keys on the Toon.
The first one is from an old blog from January 2019, in which he claims that Newcastle could forget about ever achieving anything unless a country bought them.
It seems that Keys was predicting the future – as the Toon are currently in the middle of a proposed takeover that will see Saudi Arabia’s PIF take an 80% stake in the club.
The other screenshot is from one of Keys’ most recent blogs from last weekend, claiming that he expects the Toon’s takeover to go through this week but also warned Newcastle fans to be careful about what they wish for.
As such, it would appear that Keys is not happy with this takeover, and this has delighted many Toon fans.
Do you love watching Keys admit defeat on the takeover?
Yes, great to see
No, I don't care what he thinks

I love the fact he is hating this. Absolutely love it! Long may it continue!

This takeover has taken 10 years off his life, he’s really lost the plot and it’s great to see.

What do we think?
Keys has been against this takeover from the start and has tweeted about it trying to take the moral high ground – which has confused many Toon fans.
However, it seems that he is now finally accepting defeat, and this has pleased a lot of Newcastle supporters.
