A lot of Newcastle United fans have replied to a tweet from @SaudiProject, which claims that PIF formed a team to search for promising opportunities to invest in companies who had their value impacted by this current viral pandemic. (Bloomberg via @SaudiProject)
Included in the post is a picture of Newcastle United, a cruise ship, some skyscrapers, and the PIF badge.
One fan thinks that the picture of the cruise ship is the wrong company, as they believe it is not Carnival, the cruise ship company which PIF purchased an 8.2% stake in.
Another Toon fan also claims that this post is just a re-worded version of an article published in April by Bloomberg and it is not anything new.
However, despite this, some Newcastle fans have still reacted to this post.

What do we think?
There is expected to be a decision from the Premier League this week on the Toon’s takeover, and Dan Roan from the BBC expects the deal to go through. (BBC 5Live via the Evening Chronicle)
However, this post appears to be relaying no new information, and we think Toon fans should just sit back relax and wait for anything official.
