A lot of Newcastle United fans have replied to a tweet from journalist Paul Smith about the proposed takeover of the Toon.
He claims that one of the prospective new owners’ priorities is that they want to build bridges with disillusioned supporters.
Smith believes that to do this, they have contacted a PR firm to help them develop a more engaging and transparent club policy.
This news has excited these Toon fans.
Would this be something that would please you?
Yes
No
Another priority for the Saudi’s is building bridges with disillusioned supporters. They have already consulted a major PR firm to commission a structure to engage with fans and adopt a more open transparency policy #NUFCTakeover

Just talking to fans would suffice

This is the most important and easiest thing they can do. Simply because Ashley treated the fans like mushrooms.

What do we think?
Smith has made quite a few takeover claims over the past few days as he believes that the Premier League are ‘very close’ to granting Amanda Staveley’s Saudi-backed consortium approval to take control from Mike Ashley.
He also thinks that there are great plans for a new training ground.
All three of these updates are very positive, and if they are right, then many Newcastle fans will be very excited, but we will just have to wait and see if any of what Smith has said actually happens.
