A lot of Newcastle United fans have replied to a tweet from The Chronicle that includes a link to a piece about the Toon’s proposed takeover.
It claims that no one from the Premier League has contacted the would-be owners of Newcastle to inform them of any problems with the deal.
The piece states that the deal is still with the Premier League and in the last stages before they decide.
A report in The Guardian claimed that the takeover was now in ‘serious doubt’ after a report by the World Trade Organisation found the Saudi government to have direct links to piracy station BeoutQ.
This is a problem because Saudi Arabia’s PIF intends to take an 80% stake in the Toon in this takeover led by Amanda Staveley.
This latest report has drawn the attention of these Toon fans.
Does this report fill you with confidence?
Yes, seems positive
No, still worried

If they wanted to reject they would of by now. It’s happening!!!

The longer this drags on the less confident I become. I understand there are rival bids out there but the Saudi PIF is the more attractive one (for obvious reasons). If it falls through there are back-up options. Ashleys days at Newcastle are surely over whatever the outcome.

It’s getting a little boring now, unless you have a statement from the club please don’t bother.

More click bait…press papers, radio or Internet have to stop posting every little thing. You guys don’t know whats happening but hide behind sources close to deal. Stop the click bait

What do we think?
If this report is to be believed, then it appears that this new evidence talked about in The Guardian might not have any impact on the takeover.
However, it remains to be seen what the Premier League decide to do.
