A lot of Newcastle United fans have replied to a tweet from NUFC 360, which has relayed quotes made by Lee Ryder in the Evening Chronicle.
Ryder claims that when the proposed takeover goes through, whoever is in charge will have around £200m to spend on new players.
However, this has been dismissed by some Newcastle fans, who are not convinced.
Do you believe this report from Ryder?
Yes
No
“Without doubt, whoever is in charge of Newcastle at the start of a new era will get a competitive transfer kitty – potentially as much as around £200million.” #nufc [Lee Ryder]

Has Lee been reading twitter again for his next story. HE hasn’t got a clue how much any manager will have because until its finalised they are not speaking to people. It’s just guess work from other stories.

He really is like an out-of-date robot. Just mixes and matches a bunch of buzzwords. The worst journalist I’ve ever come across.

How can he state that when it might be Mike Ashley running the club?

Not to be a negative merchant but where is he getting that figure from?

What do we think?
Newcastle have been linked with Mauricio Pochettino to replace Steve Bruce, and some of the players linked include Philippe Coutinho and Kalidou Koulibaly.
This latest claim from Ryder seems to suggest that the Toon will have a lot to spend, so some of these targets cannot be ruled out – if what Ryder says is true.
However, we don’t think it is the right thing to be speculating on potential players, managers, or budgets when there has been no official announcement on the takeover yet.
