A lot of Newcastle United fans have replied to a post from their club, showing Steve Bruce discuss the club’s return to training.

To kick things off, who is this man from the 2009/10 season?

This comes after the Premier League voted to move onto the next phase of training with a view to resuming matches on the 17th of June.

In the footage, Bruce claims that he and the players were ‘delighted’ to return to training last week and that the session on Thursday was like normal.

This post has drawn the attention of these Toon fans who are slating Bruce.

The current Toon boss has not done a bad job this season as he has Newcastle in 13th place eight points clear of the relegation zone.

However, with a takeover ongoing and the likes of Rafael Benitez and Mauricio Pochettino linked – should the takeover go through, it appears that these Toon fans have had enough of Bruce.

Do you want Bruce to stay as Newcastle's manager?

No, we can do better

The deal for Amanda Staveley’s Saudi-backed takeover is still with the Premier League going through the required checks after a deposit was paid to Mike Ashley.

The league’s decision has been held up by new evidence linking the Saudi government to BeoutQ – a piracy station.

This is expected to delay the league’s decision further, but that has still not stopped these Toon fans from asking about the takeover.

Some Newcastle fans were not interested in Bruce at all and wanted to know if they would be getting refunds back for their season ticket money.

The former Sunderland boss has previously said that if the takeover does go through, he wants to have the chance to stay on as the Toon’s manager.

However, if Pochettino or Benitez are interested in the role and the takeover does happen, it would probably be a surprise if Bruce stayed beyond the end of the season.

If reports are to be believed, he will at least get until the end of this season as the Newcastle boss, and if he can secure Premier League safety, then he would have done a good job – no matter what happens to him after that.
