A group of Newcastle United supporters have been discussing Danny Rose’s recent comments regarding the Premier League’s ‘Project Restart’. The left-back, who is currently on loan at St. James’ Park from Spurs, has continued to speak out against the prospect of the competition resuming.
Speaking on ‘The Lockdown Tactics’ podcast as cited by TalkSPORT, with Robert Snodgrass and Kris Boyd, he expressed the fact he has grown frustrated by those suggesting the players should return to football as though they are “guinea pigs or lab rats”.
@Throptoon has slammed the 29-year-old on Twitter and here is how some of his fellow Newcastle United supporters have responded via the social media platform.
To be honest I don’t think he wants to be here, another Michael Owen in my eye

He loves a moan

His best days are behind him. Looks too heavy to me.

I think he was/is a great player but has fell out of love with game. Only going one way if that is the case

Agreed. I really don’t rate or particularly like the lad.

Have you been impressed with Danny Rose since his arrival?
Yes
No
Too much talk, not enough action.
And a substandard example to younger players.

100% agree and not been impressed at all by his football either

What do we think?
It’s clear that these Newcastle United fans have grown tired of Danny Rose, who is valued at £14.4 million (as per Transfermarkt). He arrived in the North East in January on loan for the rest of the season and since then, he has made six appearances for Steve Bruce’s side (as per Transfermarkt.co.uk). His performances in the Premier League for the Toon have earned him an average performance rating of 6.29/10 from WhoScored, which is somewhat underwhelming – so we can understand why some have shared their views on his football as well as his recent comments.
