Supporters of Newcastle United have been flocking to a tweet from the club’s former player Faustino Asprilla.

On Sunday, the Colombian tweeted saying that he ‘had a fantastic dream’ in which ‘the takeover had finally’ happened (per Faustino Asprilla), which lots of Toon fans flocked to.

The 50-year-old former attacker spent two years with Newcastle between 1996 and 1998, having both arrived from and departed for Italian side Parma (per Transfermarkt).

In his relatively short stay with the North East club, Asprilla made 60 appearances for the Toon in which he bagged 18 goals and three assists (per Transfermarkt), and his latest tweet had lots of fans talking.
