A lot of Newcastle United fans have replied to a tweet from Twitter user @RedRoseMichelle as she attempted to ease the fears of Newcastle fans after a new report in The Guardian emerged.
The report claimed that new evidence had been submitted to the Premier League regarding the piracy of sport in Saudi Arabia.
The piece states that this is expected to delay the Premier League’s decision on Amanda Staveley’s Saudi-backed takeover of the Toon.
@RedRoseMichelle, who is a Newcastle fan and solicitor, tried to show in her post that Arabsat, the company that allowed BeoutQ to use its satellites to broadcast streams in Saudi Arabia, (page four) is not solely a Saudi company and is owned by 21 different states.
Has this eased your fears?
Yes
No
So, she does not see how the Premier League can form a concrete link between PIF and Arabsat.
This has drawn a reaction from these Toon fans.

Imagine if the Premier league turn it down on this basis, Premier league vs Saudi Arabia in court?? Good luck PL ? you would know this better than me but I would imagine the buyer would have the best lawyers all over this??

Good to hear, its such a frustrating time. This needs to be concluded ASAP because its becoming a ridiculous circus.

It’s a non story as there’s nothing else going on and Newcastle is an easy target for cluck bait. The Premier league will say nothing about anything they have received or not. #nufctakover #cans

Class find that there’s no wonder the Saudis r confident of a deal. I’m sure they have a counter argument for. Every accusation made against them. #cans –

With no conclusive evidence surely the Saudis representatives/lawyers will get this ironed out pretty quickly?

If they dont approve it Mandy should get you on the case!

What do we think?
She does make a good point; however, her information appears to be from Wikipedia, so we are not fully trusting that.
This new evidence is expected to delay the deal, so we think that Toon fans should just wait for official confirmation – as they can do nothing to speed up the process.
