Fans of Manchester City have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports of a potential swap deal involving Nicolas Otamendi.
According to reports in TNT Sports (via Sport Witness), Pep Guardiola is interested in River Plate defender Lucas Martinez Quarta – and could use Nicolas Otamendi as part of a deal to bring the 23-year-old to the Etihad Stadium this summer.
In reaction to the reports, which were relayed by Man City Xtra on Twitter, fans of the club have flocked to have their say on the matter, with many suggesting that they are not overly aware of Martinez’s ability, however, if the deal means that Otamendi would leave the club, they would be more than willing to see it happen.

Martinez Quarta has made 19 appearances in Argentina’s Superliga so far this season, starting 83% of River Plate’s fixtures in the competition, while providing one assist.
These stats seem to be enough to convince many of the City fans that a swap deal involving Otamendi would be worthwhile, however, it could be argued that this is primarily down to the fact that some appear to just want to see the back of the 32-year-old.
