Fans of Manchester City have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports of FA Cup and Champions League fixture proposals.
According to recent reports in The Sun, new proposals for FA Cup fixtures would see the final of the competition be played on August 8.
However, the reports go on to state that UEFA plans to resume European club competitions on August 7, which is potentially when City would face Real Madrid in the second leg of their last-16 Champions League tie.
As such, if Pep Guardiola’s side were to reach the final of this season’s FA Cup, they could potentially face a situation in which they would have to fulfil two fixtures in two days.
In reaction to the reports, which were relayed by City Chief on Twitter, fans of Manchester City have flocked to have their say on the matter, with many suggesting that they are not surprised to hear the news, while others have stated that the Champions League should be City’s priority.
Should City prioritise the FA Cup or Champions Leage?

What do we think?
As many City fans are correct to point out, City are not in the FA Cup final as yet, and while last year’s winners will hope to emulate their recent success in the competition, this is by no means an easy feat.
However, should City reach the final, questions will surely be asked as to whether it is fair to ask Guardiola’s players to complete two fixtures in the space of two days, but, until then, it is merely speculation.
