Fans of Manchester City have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays news regarding RB Leipzig defender Dayot Upamecano.
According to reports by Sky Germany (via Sky Sports), Upamecano is set to sign a new contract at RB Leipzig, which would appear to end Manchester City’s reported hopes of signing the centre-back this summer.
In reaction to the reports, which were relayed by City Chief on Twitter, fans of the club have flocked to have their say on the matter, with many suggesting that the news is unfortunate, and that City will be missing out on a very good signing, while others have seemed less concerned about missing out on the 21-year-old.

What do we think?
Upamecano has been in remarkable form for Leipzig so far this season, averaging an impressive WhoScored match rating of 7.23 over his 21 Bundesliga appearances, in addition to a 7.30 rating over six Champions League fixtures.
As such, the French youth international has proven that he can perform at the highest level European football has to offer, making it understandable why some of the City fans appear disappointed at the news that Upamecano looks set to remain at Leipzig.
