Fans of Manchester City have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports on Kevin De Bruyne’s future at the club.
According to Jonathan Smith’s recent article for Goal, which includes quotes from the midfielder given to Belgian outlet HLN, the 28-year-old is ready to commit his long-term future to the club, on the premise that Manchester City are successful in their appeal against a two-year ban from European football.
After the reports were relayed on Twitter by both City Chief and Man City Xtra, fans of the club flocked to have their say on the matter, with some urging their club to win their appeal against the ban in order to ensure De Bruyne remains at the club beyond the end of this season.
Get it done Khaldoon, Overturn the BAN!

Although these City fans appear to be confinement in their club’s appeal, it would be wise to not put the cart before the horse, as Manchester City were found to have not only to have broken financial fair play rules, but also to have seriously misled UEFA in their investigations into the club’s finances.
Do you think Manchester City will overturn their European ban?
Yes
No
It would seem that the following City fans are very well aware of the precariousness of City’s appeal, which is scheduled to be heard by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) from June 8, and what failure to overturn the ban could mean regarding the Belgian international’s future with the club.
If he wants to go,let him.

‘if the club are successful in overturning their two-year ban from the champions league’
Are we supposed to be happy about this? ?

The fact that these City fans seem to fear the idea of the attacking midfielder leaving the club is understandable. That is because since arriving at City from VfL Wolfsburg for a fee of £68.40 million back in 2015, De Bruyne has gone on to make 209 appearances for the club, scoring 50 goals and providing 85 assists.
So far this season, the 28-year-old has scored eight goals and has provided 16 assists in the Premier League, averaging a remarkable WhoScored match rating of 7.92. This has been enough to rank him as the league’s best performer.
As such, the fact that the following fans seem to be begging their club to do everything to keep hold of De Bruyne is not at all surprising.
Please extend his contact?.

Just give him what he wants.

Despite these calls for the club to try and twist De Bruyne’s arm in the matter, Smith’s article on Goal would seem to suggest that the midfielder’s future in Manchester very much depends on the outcome of their appeal against the ban from European football, meaning that the only thing left to do for City fans is to wait to hear the final decision from CAS.
