Fans of Manchester City have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports that Barcelona’s Nelson Semedo has agreed personal terms with City.
According to Mundo Deportivo, the 26-year-old right-back is potentially on the way out of Barcelona – with the Catalan giants reportedly happy to trade the defender for City’s Joao Cancelo in order to make the ex-Juventus man a makeweight in a cut-price deal for Inter forward Lautaro Martinez. Semedo is also thought to prefer a move to the Etihad Stadium should he exit the Camp Nou.
A report in Barca Universal relayed unverified rumours that claimed Semedo had reached an agreement to join Pep Guardiola’s side, and fans of the club have flocked to have their say after these were shared by Man City Xtra on Twitter. Many suggested that City do not need another right-back and that the club’s priority should be signing a central defender.

What do we think?
Semedo has had a somewhat inconsistent campaign for Barcelona so far this season.
In La Liga, the 26-year-old has made 21 appearances, providing two assists, while averaging a slightly disappointing WhoScored match rating of 6.79.
However, in the Champions League, the £28.8 million-rated defender has impressed in his five appearances, providing one assist, while averaging a much better WhoScored match rating of 7.25.
Though despite these impressive performances in Europe, it would appear that many of the City fans would rather not see their club sign Semedo.
