Fans of Manchester City have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports regarding Liverpool and the resumption of the Premier League season.
According to reports in The Sun, some Premier League clubs believe that, should the league resume, if Liverpool manage to clinch the title – needing just two wins to do so – within their first few matches, Jurgen Klopp would field a youth side for his team’s remaining fixtures, risking the integrity of the competition.
In reaction to the reports, which were relayed by City Chief on Twitter, fans of the club have flocked to have their say on the matter, with many suggesting that Klopp would have rested first-team players as soon as his side won the title anyway, regardless of the current circumstances surrounding football, while others have stated their belief that Liverpool don’t have an ounce of shame.

As the City fans correctly point out, it could be argued that, in the event that Liverpool clinch the title with games to spare, Klopp could have rested players regardless of the unexpected break in the football season.
As such, it could be argued that the clubs who are arguing this case are simply using it as an excuse for the season not to resume.
