Liverpool fans on Twitter have been responding to the latest transfer update surrounding Kylian Mbappe.
This comes after Liverpool-focused Twitter account @LFCTransferRoom shared a post on their page relaying comments made by Reds journalist James Pearce to The Football Terrace podcast.
Pearce revealed that Jurgen Klopp “would rather go and sign who is going to be the ‘next Mbappe’, rather than Mbappe himself.”
This post then gathered a lot of replies from Liverpool fans who were quick to share their thoughts on this revelation from Pearce.
Here’s a sample of Liverpool fans responding to the post:
It was explained to me that Jürgen Klopp would rather find and sign who is going to be the ‘next Mbappe’, rather than Mbappe himself. [@JamesPearceLFC] pic.twitter.com/1FAwfn0giI

Do Liverpool need to sign Kylian Mbappe?
Yes
No
The Frenchman is currently valued at £162 million according to Transfermarkt, making him the most valuable footballer in the world right now. Now that Pearce has claimed that Klopp would rather find and sign who is going to be the ‘next Mbappe’, this led to a lot of Liverpool fans responding with their thoughts on the situation.
Sounds like his being cheap.

Sounds like the LFC I know, I’m okay with that.

Mbappe is way too expensive for most clubs to think about buying. Plus would you get rid of salah or mane? I wouldn’t want to sell either and you would have to if you wanted Mbappe.

What do we think?
Given Mbappe’s huge market value, it’s likely that any club wanting to sign the attacker would have to come up with a massive transfer fee to secure his signature, which is something that Liverpool apparently don’t want to do.
