Liverpool fans on Twitter have been responding to recently posted comments from former Reds midfielder Emre Can.
This comes after Liverpool-focused Twitter account @AnfieldWatch shared a post on their page relaying comments made by Can to Sport Bild.
The German revealed that he would “never play” for Manchester United at any point in his career due to his loyalty to Liverpool.
Can also added: “My heart would not allow it. The rivalry between those clubs is really huge.”
This post then gathered a lot of replies from Liverpool fans who were quick to share their reactions to Can’s admission.

The German left Anfield back in 2018 on a free transfer to Juventus after spending four years at the Merseyside club, and is currently on-loan at Borussia Dortmund (per Transfermarkt).
Despite Can’s revelation that he would never play for United out of respect and loyalty for Liverpool, however, some Reds fans were not accepting this statement from the 26-year-old.

What do we think?
It’s nice to see that Can still has a lot of respect for Liverpool, but it appears that these Reds fans don’t share the same feelings towards him.
